Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine combines R&B, soul gospel and jazz in his signature style. Sunshine has performed everywhere from Broadway to The Democratic National Convention to the European music scene and the club scenes. Sunshine can be described as Denise White. Although she lives in Atlanta, she originates from Chester Pennsylvania where she began the musical path by singing as well as playing the piano at church. After attending Spellman College, Atlanta she embarked on her journey of music in Atlanta's R&B musical scene. She was named the primary keyboardist in Tyler Perry's musical Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday (a Grammy and Tony Award winner) approached her for the position of choir conductor for Dreamgirls in Atlanta for the National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine gained national recognition for several performances throughout the Democratic National Convention in 2008. Sunshine was chosen to perform at Obama's inaugural ceremony in 2009.
