Jillian Noel Shennessy, born 25th November 1968 in Canada is a Canadian actress and musician that was acknowledged for her contribution in American television. Then, she moved to sci-fi, and portrayed the role of Dr. Marie Lazarus (RoboCop 3) in 1993. Her breakthrough came later that year when she joined the cast of the acclaimed NBC crime show Law & Order as assistant district attorney Claire Kincaid. This role captivated the audience for three seasons, until she left it in 1996. Parker is well-known for her performances in movies, series and television shows including RED Fried Green Tomatoes Boys by the Side as well as The West Wing Angels of America. She received an award for her performance in the series a Golden Globe Award for Best actress and also an Emmy Award. Parker has also been awarded the Tony Award for Best Actress 2001 for her performance in the Broadway show Proof.
